The Cleveland Browns have announced the release of linebacker Charlie Thomas III from their injured reserve list, as reported by Scott Petrak. Thomas III, who is 24 years old, went undrafted out of Georgia Tech in 2023 before joining the Browns. Initially, he was cut from the team’s final roster but was later signed to the practice squad.
In January, Thomas III secured a reserve contract with the Browns. However, he was placed on injured reserve at the start of August, which has prevented him from making his NFL debut. Despite his time with the team, he has not yet played in a regular-season game.
The decision to release Thomas III marks the end of his brief stint with the Browns, who are continuing to make roster adjustments.
