**Bulls Waive Andrew Funk, Open Two-Way Roster Spot**
The Chicago Bulls have released shooting guard Andrew Funk, creating an opening for a new two-way player, the team announced via Twitter. Funk, 24, initially signed a two-way contract with the Bulls in late February after beginning the season with the Grand Rapids Gold in the G League.
During his brief stint with the Bulls, Funk appeared in five games, logging just 13 minutes without scoring. Despite a contract that extended through the 2024/25 season, the team opted to terminate his deal and explore other options for their two-way roster spot.
Funk also participated in the Bulls’ Summer League team, where he averaged 2.4 points, 0.8 rebounds, and 0.6 assists over five games in Las Vegas.
However, his shooting was underwhelming, with a field goal percentage of only 16.7% and a three-point shooting rate of 17.6%.
With Funk’s departure, the Bulls are left with DJ Steward and Adama Sanogo as their remaining two-way players. The team will now seek to fill the open roster spot with a new player who can contribute effectively in a two-way role.
