Official Noles News: Top Talented Four Star CB Commits To Florida State Seminoles Over Tennessee Vols Football

**Four-Star CB Set to Choose Between Florida State and Tennessee**

Highly regarded cornerback Onis Konanbanny, a top prospect in the 2025 recruiting class, is preparing to make his college commitment. After receiving over 40 offers from prominent programs like Alabama, LSU, Auburn, Michigan, Ohio State, and Oklahoma, Konanbanny has narrowed his options to two schools: Florida State and Tennessee.

Konanbanny will make his decision by the end of August. He shared with On3 in late July that both Florida State and Tennessee are his final choices. “Tennessee was my first offer, so they’ve been with me from the start. I appreciate their consistency. Florida State offered later but has been recruiting me for a long time, and I have strong relationships with their coaches,” he said.

Tennessee appears to be a strong contender, given that they were the first to offer the Columbia, South Carolina native. Konanbanny has developed a solid rapport with Volunteers head coach Josh Heupel and his staff. However, Florida State should not be discounted, as Konanbanny also has a positive connection with Seminoles head coach Mike Norvell. “I love Mike Norvell. His personal attention and how he treated me and my family during the official visit had a significant impact on me,” Konanbanny noted.

Regardless of his choice, Konanbanny is expected to be a valuable addition. The 247Sports Composite ranks him as the No. 29 cornerback in the 2025 class.
