Breaking: Just In Sean Payton Confirm Injury Of Another Top Talented Star

In order to create space for inside linebacker Alec Mock to sign, the Denver Broncos placed pass rusher Ronnie Perkins on the waived/injured list on Tuesday, the organization announced.

The NFL’s waiver wire will now be applicable to Perkins (6-3, 253 pounds). Perkins will return to Denver’s injured reserve list in the event that he clears waivers tomorrow. The Broncos would then have to negotiate an injury settlement and cut Perkins, which would mean he would miss the whole 2024 campaign.

Perkins was cut off the New England Patriots practice squad and signed by Denver last season. During his seven games last autumn, he played 149 snaps, recording 13 tackles and one QB hit.

Mock (6-3, 240 pounds) was a free agent that was not selected by the Broncos from the Air Force Academy this spring. However, he was cut in June. He is back with the squad now to give inside linebacker depth.

In 38 games (35 starts) with the Air Force, Mock finished with 224 tackles, five sacks, one interception, four pass breakups, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and one defensive touchdown.
