Done Deal: Four-star CB Finally Chooses To Commit To Florida State Seminoles Over Tennessee Football

Four-star cornerback Onis Konanbanny is set to choose between Florida State and Tennessee. As one of the top cornerbacks in the 2025 class, Konanbanny is ready to make his decision with only these two schools remaining on his list.

Despite receiving over 40 offers from prestigious programs like Alabama, LSU, Auburn, Michigan, Ohio State, and Oklahoma, Konanbanny narrowed his options to Florida State and Tennessee by the end of July. He plans to announce his commitment at the end of August.

Konanbanny has expressed his appreciation for both schools. He noted that Tennessee was the first to offer him, which has strengthened his bond with the Volunteers, including head coach Josh Heupel and his staff. However, he also has a strong connection with Florida State, particularly with head coach Mike Norvell, who made a significant impact during Konanbanny’s official visit.

“I love Mike Norvell,” Konanbanny said. “How he treated me and my family on the official visit made a big impact on me. He stayed with me the entire time, showing me who he is as a person, which meant a lot.”

Ranked as the No. 29 cornerback in the 2025 class by the 247Sports Composite, Konanbanny is expected to be a valuable addition to whichever program he chooses.
