Despite discussions between Cleveland and San Francisco, Aiyuk chose not to finalize the trade as the 49ers allowed him to select the team offering the best contract.

JuJu Smith-Schuster’s stint with the New England Patriots ended following their first preseason game, making him a free agent. Although Smith-Schuster’s performance has declined in recent years, he still has potential and could be a valuable addition to the Browns, who need more depth at wide receiver.
Smith-Schuster was a Pro Bowler in 2018 with the Pittsburgh Steelers and won a Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2022. Adding him to the roster could be beneficial, especially considering potential injuries to key players like Amari Cooper and Elijah Moore, providing the Browns with experienced depth.
