Done Deal: Just In Kansas State Gets Huge Commitment From 5-Star Tight End Who Rejects Alabama And LSU

**Kansas State Secures Commitment from 5-Star Tight End Linkon Cure**

Kansas State football has bolstered its 2025 recruiting class with a major addition. On Friday, the Wildcats received a verbal commitment from Linkon Cure, a highly sought-after tight end from Goodland.

Cure, ranked as the second-best tight end in the nation, made his commitment official during a live segment on the 247 Sports recruiting show. Last season, he had an impressive performance as a junior, recording 42 catches for 946 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Standing at 6-foot-6 and weighing 220 pounds, Cure is a five-star recruit with skills that will benefit any top Division I program. He is known not only for his athletic prowess but also for his team-oriented attitude. Cure chose Kansas State over other notable programs such as Oregon, Texas A&M, and Kansas.

In a March interview following the Class 3A basketball tournament, Cure expressed his admiration for K-State’s football fans, highlighting their kindness and enthusiasm. “They are always the nicest people,” Cure said, noting the positive interactions he had with them. He also praised K-State’s offensive strategy, expressing confidence in their approach.

Cure’s commitment adds to Kansas State’s growing list of recruits for the 2025 class. He joins a group that includes safety Dominic Mitchell from Brophy Prep (Arizona), quarterback Dillon Duff from Desmet (Missouri), defensive tackle Will Kemna from Helias Catholic (Missouri), linebacker Weston Polk from Coppell (Texas), cornerback Martel Jackson from Derby (Kansas), wide receiver Adonis Moise from IMG Academy (Florida), defensive end Dalton Knapp from All Saints Episcopal (Texas), linebacker Sawyer Schilke from Kearney (Nebraska), linebacker JoJo Scott from Victory Christian Academy (Florida), linebacker Maguire Richman from Blue Valley (Kansas), and lineman Brock Heath from Blue Valley Northwest (Kansas).
