Wisconsin Basketball Signs Italian Center Riccardo Greppi for 2024 Class
The Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball team has added international talent to their roster, announcing the signing of Italian center Riccardo Greppi for the 2024 season. This move was confirmed by the program on Friday afternoon.
Head coach Greg Gard expressed enthusiasm about Greppi’s addition, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome Riccardo to our team. His size, strength, and skills will greatly enhance our frontcourt depth. As college athletics evolve, Wisconsin’s strong academic and athletic programs position us well to attract top global talent.”
Standing 6’10”, Greppi is expected to provide immediate support in the frontcourt. The Badgers had previously secured Serbian center Andrija Vukovic, but he will not be joining the team due to documentation issues, as reported by Benjamin Worgull of Badger Blitz.
Greppi previously played for Verona in Italy’s NextGen league, where he averaged 9.1 points and 8.6 rebounds over eight games.
