**New York Knicks Sign Kevin McCullar Jr. to Two-Way Contract**

On August 5, 2024, the New York Knicks announced the signing of Kevin McCullar Jr. to a two-way contract.

McCullar Jr., a 23-year-old guard/forward standing 6-7 and weighing 212 pounds, was initially drafted by the Phoenix Suns as the 56th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. He was subsequently traded to the Knicks on draft day. McCullar spent his final two collegiate years at Kansas, where he appeared in 60 games (59 starts), averaging 14.0 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.8 steals in 32.2 minutes per game. During his senior season, he earned a spot on the 2024 Third-Team All-American list by the NABC and was named to the 2024 First-Team All-Big 12.

He posted averages of 18.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 1.5 steals in 34.2 minutes over 26 games (all starts), with a standout performance of 34 points, six rebounds, four assists, two steals, and one block in a game against Yale on December 22. McCullar Jr. was also recognized as a 2023 Third-Team All-Big 12 and was included in the 2023 Big 12 All-Defensive Team during his junior year. Before his time at Kansas, he spent three years at Texas Tech, where he averaged 8.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.4 steals across 78 games (49 starts).

A native of San Antonio, TX, McCullar attended Karen Wagner High School, leading them to the Class 6A title game as a sophomore and averaging 16.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 3.8 assists as a junior.
