Done Deal: Just In Another Top 4-star RB Officially Commits To Miami Hurricanes Football

The Miami football program has significant ground to cover in its pursuit of four-star running back Shekai Mills-Knight, who is set to announce his commitment on August 17. Mills-Knight, currently a three-star recruit, has Alabama, Auburn, Miami, Mississippi, and Tennessee as his final choices, all of which hosted him for official visits in June, according to On3.

Mississippi is considered the strong favorite to secure Mills-Knight’s commitment, with the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine giving them a 94.7% chance. David Johnson of Inside the Rebels has also submitted the only 247Sports crystal ball prediction in favor of Mississippi.

Mills-Knight visited Miami on May 31, followed by Alabama on June 7, Auburn on June 10, Tennessee on June 14, and Mississippi on June 21. Mississippi has hosted Mills-Knight a total of seven times, including unofficial visits, while Alabama, Auburn, and Tennessee each hosted him twice, including his official visit. Additionally, Mills-Knight visited Florida, Michigan, and Penn State unofficially earlier this year, according to On3.

His commitment will occur just a week before he begins his senior season at the Baylor School in Chattanooga. Mills-Knight is ranked as the 252nd overall prospect, 17th running back, and sixth player in Tennessee for the 2025 class in the 247Sports composite rankings. Mills-Knight has already made his decision and is prepared to announce it, stating that his choice is based on which program offers the best development as a running back, a quality education, and a chance to compete for a national championship.

Alabama is currently ranked fifth in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll, Mississippi is sixth, Tennessee is 15th, Miami is 19th, and Auburn received two points in the poll.
