Breaking: Houston Texans Officially Cut Another Top Experienced Star Following Injury

The Houston Texans have waived defensive end Marcus Haynes due to an injury, as announced by the team on Tuesday. Haynes had joined the Texans earlier this year, signing with them on February 20.

Haynes initially entered the NFL with the Denver Broncos last year as an undrafted free agent from Old Dominion. During the preseason with the Broncos, he recorded five tackles and defended one pass. However, his efforts were not enough to secure a spot on the final 53-man roster by the end of the summer.

After being released, Haynes was brought back to the Broncos’ practice squad but was eventually waived in November. Now with the Texans, Haynes faces another setback with his release due to injury.

The Texans have depth at the defensive end position, with players like Derek Barnett, Dylan Horton, rookie Solomon Byrd, and Ali Gaye serving as backups to key starters Will Anderson and Danielle Hunter. This depth likely contributed to the team’s decision to part ways with Haynes, especially considering his injury status.
