Breaking: Miami Dolphins Officially Cut Another Top Experienced Star player After Turn Down New Contract Offer

Defensive tackle Teair Tart’s attempt to secure a spot on the Miami Dolphins roster has reportedly ended. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Dolphins plan to release Tart on Tuesday. Tart joined the Dolphins in April but did not participate in their first preseason game.

Last season, Tart played for the Tennessee Titans and Houston Texans, having spent his first three NFL seasons with the Titans. Over his 47 career games, Tart has recorded 79 tackles, 2.5 sacks, an interception, and a fumble recovery.

With Tart’s release, the Dolphins still have several players vying for backup defensive lineman positions. Da’Shawn Hand, Neville Gallimore, Jonathan Harris, Isaiah Mack, and Brandon Pili are all competing to secure roles behind the team’s expected starters: Benito Jones, Zach Sieler, and Calais Campbell.

This roster move comes as the Dolphins continue to shape their defensive line ahead of the regular season. The team is likely looking to solidify its depth and ensure that the best possible players are in place to support their starting lineup. Tart’s release highlights the competitive nature of NFL rosters, where players must consistently prove their value to earn and retain spots on the team. As the preseason progresses, more decisions like this will shape the final roster that the Dolphins take into the regular season.
