Breaking: Another Top Experienced Golden State Warriors Star Official Announced He Wants To Leave

Quinndary Weatherspoon, who last played in the NBA during the 2021-22 season with the Golden State Warriors, is reportedly signing with a team in Russia. According to Artem Komarov, Weatherspoon will join Avtodor Saratov on a one-year deal.

During his time with the Warriors, Weatherspoon appeared in 11 games, averaging 2.7 points and 1.3 rebounds per game while shooting an impressive 57.1% from the field. Although he didn’t participate in the playoffs, he was part of the Warriors’ roster that won the NBA Championship in 2022.

Weatherspoon was originally drafted 49th overall by the San Antonio Spurs in the 2019 NBA Draft out of Mississippi State. Over three seasons in the NBA, split between the Spurs and the Warriors, he averaged 2.1 points per game and shot 45.2% from the field in 42 appearances.

 

In addition to his NBA career, the 27-year-old has also played in the G League, where he had an impressive season in 2022, averaging 25.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 2.1 steals per game, with a shooting percentage of 52.3% from the field.

Despite moving overseas, Weatherspoon remains in the prime of his career and could potentially return to the NBA in the future.
