Stephen Curry, the outstanding point guard for the Golden State Warriors, has long been regarded as the best shooter in NBA history. Curry is without a doubt the greatest three-point shooter of all time, setting multiple records and still having a long list of successful three-pointers.
Curry’s numerous awards during his eventful career, however, show that he is more than just a shooter. Curry has been on numerous all-star and all-NBA teams, won four NBA titles, and been named MVP of the Finals twice. This past summer, Curry earned an Olympic gold medal, which may have been the final honor left in his storied career. When Steph and Team USA traveled to Paris and won the country’s fifth consecutive gold, they created history.
However, it did not come easily. The Americans were put to the test several times during the tournament, even though they were favorites in their games. The most difficult one occurred during the medal rounds, when Team USA hosted France for the gold medal game and faced Serbia in the semifinals. Curry carried the Americans behind him in both of those games, showing his true colors. Steph scored 36 points and made nine threes in the game against Serbia, helping Team USA pull off a thrilling 95-91 victory. Curry solidified his legacy in the gold medal game and produced an unforgettable scene that will live on in the memories of future generations.
At the Bercy Arena in Paris, in front of a startled French audience, Steph finished the game with four three-pointers. He then celebrated with his trademark “night night” after making the final three-pointer over the extended arms of Nico Batum and Evan Fournier. The world was left in awe of Curry’s intelligence and his capacity to deliver big plays when things counted.
Among those who were in awe of Steph’s brilliance is former NBA star CJ Miles. Stephortless and crazy, that was Miles’ description of Curry’s performance in an interview with Alex Kennedy of RG.com. Miles went on to state that Curry is not simply the best shooter of all time, but also one of the greatest players of all time, making him a true legend.
Miles remarked, “Steph just keeps proving who is the greatest shooter of all time, and what’s crazy is that as he keeps widening the gap, he puts himself in the category of greatest players ever.” “I believe that’s how players view him, but when we talk about him, that’s never the storyline.”
Additionally, Miles complimented LeBron James’ longevity in his exclusive chat with Kennedy. He claims James’s ability to maintain his physical fitness is a testament to his mental prowess. James, who will begin his 22nd NBA season in December and is getting close to turning 40 this year, won the FIBA Olympic MVP award for his all-around skill, which he demonstrated game after game for Team USA. “LeBron’s longevity is amazing in my opinion. Miles remarked, “I think it just really speaks to the power of his mind.” People are fascinated by youth, and they become weary of excellence when they realize there is nothing more to learn. I am aware that I am receiving 25, 8, and 8 from him [every game], and fans want unpredictable entertainment, not something that is boring.
Miles concluded by discussing his thoughts on Team USA’s LA2028 Olympic squad, which may not include the three best players of this generation—Kevin Durant, LeBron James, and Steph Curry.
“Team USA is in excellent hands going forward. Jayson Tatum, Tyrese Haliburton, and Ant Edwards. Additionally, Miles said, “The guys on this team who are playing supporting roles, like [Devin] Booker and Bam [Adebayo], are capable of doing incredible things as well.”
“And there are guys who have the potential to be given the keys who will emerge in the next few years.”
