Breaking: Vancouver Canucks Confirm The Departure Of Top Experienced Fans Favorite Star Who Join Rivals

The Edmonton Oilers have traded for forward Vasily Podkolzin from the Vancouver Canucks, giving up Ottawa’s fourth-round pick in the 2025 draft. The trade was announced on Sunday night.

Podkolzin, who was originally selected 10th overall by Vancouver in the 2019 draft, has recorded 18 goals, 17 assists, and 43 penalty minutes in 137 games over the past three seasons with the Canucks.

The left-shot forward from Moscow also made his playoff debut this past season, playing in two games during Vancouver’s second-round series against Edmonton.

Edmonton had acquired Ottawa’s 2025 fourth-round pick along with Roby Jarventie in a July trade that sent forwards Xavier Bourgault and Jake Chiasson to Ottawa.

With this trade, the Canucks now have seven selections in the 2025 draft.
