Good News: Just In Warriors Officially Announced The Signing Of Another Top Talented Star

The Golden State Warriors announced today that they have signed guard Daeqwon (day-KWON) Plowden to a two-way contract.

Over the previous two seasons, Plowden, 25, has played in 91 games (22 starts) with the NBA G League’s Osceola Magic and Birmingham Squadron, averaging 10.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 23.8 minutes per game. Over the course of five collegiate seasons, the 6’6″ guard played in 154 games (113 starts), averaging 10.5 points and 6.1 rebounds in 25.4 minutes of action. Plowden became the first player in school history to record at least 1,200 career points, 800 rebounds, and 100 blocks. He is also the program’s all-time leader in games played (154). In addition, he holds the fourth-place record for career blocks (126) and rebounds (935) at Bowling Green State. Plowden was selected to the All-MAC Second Team in 2019–20, the Third Team in 2020–22, and the MAC All-Defensive Team in 2021–2022.


The Philadelphia native, who was left off of Golden State’s roster for the 2024 California Classic Summer League, is presently competing for the Warriors in the NBA 2K25 Summer League in Las Vegas. He was not taken in the 2022 NBA Draft. In the five summer league games that Golden State has played so far, Plowden has averaged 16.6 points (53.7 FG, 48.1 3FG, 70.6 FT), 3.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.2 blocks in 28.2 minutes of play.
