ESPN News: Chicago Sky Officially Waived Another Top Experienced SuperStar

Kysre Gondrezick, a former guard for West Virginia University and a top-five pick in the WNBA Draft, has been waived by the Chicago Sky. The team announced this roster decision on Friday.

Gondrezick played in five games for the Sky this season, marking her return to the WNBA after last appearing in 2021. During her limited playing time, she averaged 1.0 points, 0.4 rebounds, and 0.8 steals per game, spending just over three minutes on the court per game.

Originally selected as the No. 4 overall pick by the Indiana Fever in the 2021 draft, Gondrezick played in 19 games for the Fever during her rookie season. She later signed a training camp contract with the Chicago Sky in February.

Gondrezick had an impressive college career, averaging 19.5 points per game in her senior year at West Virginia, and is the highest-drafted player in the history of the program.
