Breaking: WR, Former LSU Standout, Signs With 49ers: Source……Read More…..

Terrace Marshall Jr., a former standout wide receiver at LSU, was one of the more well-known names on the cutting block during the NFL’s 53-man roster deadline on Tuesday. The Carolina Panthers selected the 24-year-old in the second round of the 2021 draft, but during his rookie campaign, his skill set failed to materialise on the field.

Now that the regular season is about to begin, he will have the opportunity to start over with a new and improved club. One day after being released by Carolina, Marshall is signing with the San Francisco 49ers, per a report from NFL insider Jordan Schultz on Wednesday, August 28. During his three years as a collegiate player at LSU, the 6-foot-2, 200-pound player was a star. In his final two seasons in 2019 and 2020, he scored a combined 23 touchdowns.

Marshall stood out even though the school was known for producing outstanding NFL pass catchers, like Jarvis Landry, Odell Beckham Jr., Justin Jefferson, and Ja’Marr Chase. Nevertheless, Marshall’s NFL stat sheet is minuscule, having only 1 career touchdown in 36 NFL games. He will have a difficult time staying on the roster of the defending NFC Champions, which includes players like Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, Jauan Jennings, and 2024 first-round selection Ricky Pearsall.

The innate talent is still present.
