In 2024, the Miami Dolphins will try to build on their success from the previous year, when quarterback Tua Tagovailoa topped the NFL in passing yards. With just the Dallas Cowboys a better average in the league, Tagovailoa and the offence put up a strong 29.2 points per game. Although Tagovailoa, a previous first-round selection, has performed admirably over the last two seasons, the team and its supporters are nevertheless gravely concerned about injuries, particularly concussions.
To the chagrin of Dolphins supporters, the AFC East team added signal-caller Tim Boyle to the practice squad on Thursday. The Dolphins played their only postseason game in 2022 with Skylar Thompson at quarterback while Tagovailoa was out. Despite this setback, the backup quarterback position remains a critical spot on the 53-man roster.
