Breaking: Houston Texans Officially Release Three Top Experienced Superstars From Training Today

1.Desmond King Released by the Texans**

The Houston Texans cut Desmond King on Tuesday. King had been on the roster bubble throughout the preseason, and a muffed punt return in Houston’s final preseason game may have been the deciding factor in his release. Despite this setback, the veteran cornerback brings substantial NFL experience as both a defender and a return specialist, making him a likely candidate to be picked up by another team soon.

2.Charlie Heck Released by the Texans**

The Houston Texans released Charlie Heck (foot) on Tuesday. Heck struggled with plantar fasciitis during training camp, which could have contributed to the decision to let him go. A 2020 fourth-round draft pick, Heck spent his first four NFL seasons with the Texans but saw his playing time decrease last year, making just three starts.

3.Jacob Phillips Released by the Texans**

The Houston Texans released Jacob Phillips on Monday, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston. Phillips, who recorded 88 tackles and 3.0 sacks in 20 regular-season games during his first three seasons with the Cleveland Browns, missed all of last year due to a torn pectoral muscle. After signing a one-year deal with the Texans in April, Phillips did not make the final 53-man roster and will now look for opportunities with another team.
