1.Marlon Tuipulotu
The Eagles have decided to release veteran defensive tackle Marlon Tuipulotu after claiming Byron Young off waivers.
With this change, the Eagles’ roster now includes six defensive tackles: Jordan Davis, Byron Young, Jalen Carter, Thomas Booker IV, Milton Williams, and Moro Ojomo. This group provides defensive coordinator Vic Fangio with a dynamic, athletic, and powerful unit.
Tuipulotu, who was a standout player at USC, was selected by the Eagles in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He played in 14 games during the 2023 season, registering 22 tackles and two sacks over 162 defensive snaps.
2.Davis-Price
According to Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia, the Eagles waived running back Davis-Price on Tuesday.
During the preseason, Davis-Price gained 118 rushing yards on 22 carries and also returned a kickoff for 26 yards. Despite his efforts, he didn’t secure a spot on the team’s initial 53-man roster. However, if he goes unclaimed on waivers, he is expected to rejoin the Eagles on their practice squad.
3.Griffin Hebert: Let go by Eagles
Wide receiver Hebert was waived by the Eagles on Tuesday, as reported by Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia.
Hebert, who joined the Eagles in July, recorded three catches for 48 yards during the preseason. If he isn’t claimed on waivers, there’s a chance he could be added to the Eagles’ practice squad.
