Latest Mavs News: Just In Dallas Mavericks Confirm Major Injury Blow With Another Top Star Suffer Career Ending Injury

**Latest Update on Kyrie Irving’s Injury Status**

The outlook is positive for the Dallas Mavericks regarding Kyrie Irving’s recovery. The superstar guard underwent surgery earlier in the offseason to repair a broken hand sustained during a workout. The goal was for Irving to be fully healed by the start of training camp, and recent updates suggest he is on track.

On the “DLLS Mavs Podcast,” Marc Stein reported that while Irving has not yet been cleared for full 5-on-5 play, he is expected to be ready for training camp. “He has not been cleared yet for full 5-on-5 hoop, but basically what I’ve been told is he remains on course to be cleared in time for training camp, so I don’t think there’s any concern there,” Stein said.

Most of the Mavericks’ roster recently met in Los Angeles for team workouts and bonding activities, with Irving in attendance. Although he could not participate in the on-court activities, his presence was seen as a positive sign. Stein noted that the team’s off-court bonding was even more successful than their on-court activities, indicating a strong team dynamic heading into the 2024-25 season.

Irving had a standout season with the Mavericks, averaging 25.6 points per game alongside Luka Doncic and helping lead Dallas to their first NBA Finals appearance since their 2011 championship. After difficult experiences in Brooklyn and Boston, Irving seems to have found a stable home in Dallas, even playing a role in recruiting Klay Thompson away from the Golden State Warriors this offseason.
