Breaking: Just In Heat Officially Announce The signing Of Another Top Experienced Players.

Centre Thomas Bryant has rejoined the Miami Heat, the team announced Monday. The terms of the contract were kept confidential per club policy. Bryant played for the HEAT in 38 games (four of which he started) last season, averaging 5.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 87.2 percent from the foul line in 11.6 minutes of action. In terms of scoring twice, rebounds five times, plus/minus four times, blocks eight times, and steals once, he led Miami. Ten times did he score in double figures, including his season-high 26 points and 12 rebounds on March 29 against Portland. He scored in double figures in two of his four starts, pulled down double-digit rebounds once, and made a flawless 6-of-6 foul shot.Bryant led the HEAT reserves in three different categories—scoring, rebounds, and blocks—thirteen times. The seven-year NBA veteran also recorded his 1,000th field goal on March 29 and his 1,000th defensive rebound on November 30. He also participated in his 250th game on January 15.

League sources tell Marc Stein (Twitter link) that the Heat and free agency centre Thomas Bryant have agreed to a new one-year contract. The Miami Herald’s Anthony Chiang tweets that the agreement will be worth the veteran’s minimum.

Bryant, who initially signed a two-year, minimum-salary contract with the Heat last summer, averaged 5.7 points and 3.7 rebounds in just 11.6 minutes per game across 38 appearances.
