Breaking: More Bad News For Boston Red Sox As Another Top Experienced Star Slump Due To…

Boston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers found himself in a tough spot after the team’s struggles continued with a 7-2 loss to the New York Mets. Following the defeat, which extended the Red Sox’s losing streak to four games and marked their 10th loss in their last 13 outings, Devers remained silent. He sat in front of his locker, staring blankly into space for 40 minutes, according to a report by Masslive.com’s Christopher Smith.

The Red Sox’s offense has been faltering at a crucial point in the season. They are now 4.5 games behind the Kansas City Royals for the final spot in the AL Wild Card race, and their bats have gone cold. Over their last 36 innings, during a six-game road trip, Boston has managed just five runs, prompting manager Alex Cora to shake up the lineup in an effort to spark some offense.

After Tuesday’s loss, Devers’ frustration was evident. Smith reported that the media relations staff informed Devers that reporters wanted to speak with him. However, Devers made everyone wait for over an hour before leaving the stadium without saying a word, around 10:55 p.m., after showering and dressing.

Devers’ struggles at the plate have been particularly glaring during the road trip. In the loss to the Mets, he went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts, dropping his performance on the trip to just 1-for-21. In response to the team’s offensive woes, Cora made adjustments to the batting order, including moving second baseman Rob Refsnyder to the leadoff spot over outfielder Jarren Duran. For the upcoming game on Wednesday, Cora announced that Devers would be hitting second in the lineup.

The Red Sox are in desperate need of a turnaround as they try to keep their playoff hopes alive. Devers, a key figure in Boston’s lineup, is feeling the pressure, and the team’s recent slump has taken a toll on him. With the season winding down and the Red Sox fighting to stay in contention, Devers and the rest of the team will need to find a way to break out of their current struggles.
