Official BAMA News: Kalen DeBoer Confirms Another Major Injury Blow As Top Talented Fan Favorite Star Now Ruled Out Till…

Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer provided an update on offensive lineman Kadyn Proctor’s shoulder injury ahead of the game against USF. The news was positive, with a chance that Proctor might play on Saturday. DeBoer mentioned that Proctor is recovering well and spending a lot of time in the training room, but no final decision has been made with three days left before the game.

Proctor is a crucial part of Alabama’s offense, and some fans think it might be safer to rest him for the USF game, or even against Wisconsin, to ensure he’s healthy for bigger matchups like Georgia. DeBoer stated that while Proctor is eager to play, the team must be cautious in managing his recovery early in the week.

Proctor’s backup, Elijah Pritchett, performed reasonably well in the previous game against Western Kentucky, though he allowed a sack and several quarterback pressures. DeBoer praised Pritchett’s efforts, focusing on his strengths despite some struggles.

Some fans have suggested moving Tyler Booker to left tackle as a potential solution if Proctor can’t play, but this doesn’t seem necessary at the moment. Proctor originally sustained or aggravated his injury during pre-game warmups last Saturday. Regardless of Proctor’s status, Pritchett is expected to see more playing time at tackle.
