BREAKING: Just In Matt Eberflus Officially Announced The Signing Of Another Top Talented Star

The Chicago Bears made some roster adjustments following their preseason debut against the Houston Texans in the Hall of Fame Game. On Friday, the Bears announced that they have signed defensive back Ro Torrence to their 90-man roster, while waiving long snapper Cameron Lyons to make room for the new addition.

Torrence, a standout from Arizona State, brings solid experience to Chicago’s defense. Over the past two seasons, he played 21 games for the Sun Devils, where he accumulated 73 tackles, two tackles for loss, and two sacks. He also showcased his playmaking ability with two interceptions and a forced fumble during his college career. The Bears will be looking to see how Torrence’s college production translates to the professional level as they continue to evaluate their roster throughout the preseason.

The decision to waive Lyons came after he saw limited action in the preseason opener against the Texans. Lyons participated in three snaps during the game, but his departure means that Patrick Scales, the Bears’ longtime long snapper, will be the sole player at that position for the time being.

As the Bears continue to fine-tune their roster ahead of the regular season, the signing of Torrence adds depth to their defensive backfield, while the team focuses on solidifying their special teams unit. These moves reflect the team’s ongoing efforts to identify the best players for key positions as they work through the preseason schedule.
