“I Will Leave For Him To Play” Just In Boston Bruins Top Talented Superstar Officially Announced He Wants To Leave If Not Granted Starting Role

Boston Bruins Prospect Kristian Kostadinski Commits to Boston College for 2025-26

Kristian Kostadinski, a seventh-round draft pick by the Boston Bruins in the 2023 NHL Draft, has announced his commitment to play for Boston College during the 2025-26 season. The 6-foot-6, 220-pound defenseman is set to join the Dubuque Fighting Saints in the United States Hockey League (USHL) for the 2024-25 season, where he will play alongside fellow Bruins prospect Jonathan Morello.

Kostadinski participated in the Bruins’ rookie development camp in July, where he showcased his physicality and ability to defend against opponents with his impressive size. On Thursday, he confirmed his decision to join Boston College, where he will suit up for the Eagles after his season in the USHL. His commitment adds to an already strong pipeline of Bruins prospects playing college hockey.

Originally from Goteborg, Sweden, Kostadinski spent the 2023-24 season with Frolunda HC, where he served as team captain and recorded three goals and 18 assists in 43 games. Known for his size and physical presence, the left-shot defenseman excels in making poised, accurate passes to initiate breakouts from his own zone. His hard-hitting style has made him a prospect the Bruins highly value, particularly given his towering stature on the blue line.

Ranked 62nd among European skaters by NHL Central Scouting in 2023, Kostadinski will experience North American hockey for the first time in the upcoming season with Dubuque. The Fighting Saints selected him with the 16th overall pick in the second round of the 2024 USHL Draft, giving him an opportunity to adjust to the different style of play in North America.

Looking ahead, Kostadinski could potentially play alongside Bruins’ 2024 first-round pick Dean Letourneau at Boston College. Letourneau, a 6-foot-7 center, is set to begin his freshman season with the Eagles, joining other Bruins prospects like Oskar Jellvik and Andre Gasseau.

Kostadinski’s commitment to Boston College strengthens the Bruins’ connection with the program and continues their trend of developing top prospects through college hockey. His combination of size, leadership, and defensive ability makes him a player to watch as he transitions to North American play in preparation for the NHL.
