Breaking: Just In Two Worthy Billionaire Shows Interest In Buying Boston Celtics Basketball Team Due To…….

According to recent claims, billionaire Jeff Bezos might potentially purchase the Boston Celtics basketball team, defying earlier allegations that he had “no plans” to purchase the defending NBA champions. The bidding was down to three finalists, according to co-host Courtney Cox of WEEI’s The Greg Hill Show on Thursday morning. They were Bezos, Fenway Sports Group, and Wynn Resorts, which owns the hotel and casino Encore Boston Harbour, according to Sports Illustrated. Two weeks after it was revealed on August 21 that the Amazon Inc. could be selling, Cox said that Bezos could be a potential buyer.

Zuckerberg decided against buying the Celtics after it was revealed earlier in the day that he had made an offer of $6 billion for the team, which was valued at an estimated $4.7 billion.

Bezos has expressed interest in purchasing the Washington Commanders and Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League in the past. The principal owner of the Celtics, Boston Basketball Partners L.L.C., plans to sell the bulk of the team sometime in 2024 or early 2025. Wyc Grousbeck is anticipated to remain in his role as the Celtics’ governor until the anticipated closure of the sale in 2028. During the Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon, Charlie Jacobs, CEO of Delaware North, the company that owns the Boston Celtics’ stadium TD Garden, said that the team has a new lease in place to stay in its present home arena for “another 12 years or so.”

If Bezos purchases the franchise, that plan would alter as he might wish to construct a new stadium such to the Intuit Dome, which was constructed by Los Angeles Clippers owner Steve Ballmer.
