Sad News: Just In Raptors Two Talented And Experienced Players Announce Their Departure To Guandong Tigers Due To….

The Guandong Tigers of the Chinese Basketball Association have signed free agency wing Will Barton and forward/center Darius Bazley, the organisation announced. Although he had some runs in Spain and Puerto Rico, Barton, 33, did not participate in the NBA this past season. He is 6 feet 5 inches tall. In 2022–2023 he played in 52 games with the Toronto Raptors and Washington Wizards combined, averaging 6.8 points and shooting 37 percent from three-point range. Throughout his career, he has played every position, including small forward and point guard.

Prior to the 2022–2023 season, the Wizards acquired Barton in a trade with the Denver Nuggets that also included guard Monte Morris. Barton’s 40-game average with Washington was 7.5 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.5 assists, his lowest in each statistical category since 2014–15.

He began his career with the Portland Trail Blazers, having been chosen with the 40th overall choice in the 2012 NBA Draft. A year ago, he reportedly worked out for the Golden State Warriors and the New Orleans Pelicans but was not signed. The Jazz waived 24-year-old 6-10 Bazley in July. He made his debut on March 12th, signing with Utah, and averaged 8.0 points and 4.5 rebounds in six games.

After high school, Bazley decided to train out on his own and, when eligible, enter the NBA Draft rather than play collegiate basketball or play in the G League. In reality, he was dealt to the Oklahoma City Thunder a week after the Jazz draughted him with the No. 23 overall pick in 2019. Following his offseason trade to the Brooklyn Nets, Bazley was waived prior to training camp. During the previous season, he also played for the G League’s Delaware Blue Coats.
