Done Deal: Just In Las Vegas Raiders Officially Sign Another Top Experienced Star

The Las Vegas Raiders have signed linebacker DaShaun White, adding depth to their defense ahead of the upcoming NFL season. White, who went undrafted in the 2023 NFL Draft, has impressed scouts and coaches alike with his physicality and playmaking ability, earning him a spot on the Raiders’ roster. The team has been in need of additional linebacker talent, and White could provide some much-needed versatility to the defense.

White played his college football at the University of Oklahoma, where he had a standout career. During his time with the Sooners, White became known for his ability to diagnose plays quickly, his sure tackling, and his leadership on the field. He was a key contributor to Oklahoma’s defense, helping the team to several successful seasons in the Big 12 Conference. His experience playing against top-tier competition in college has prepared him well for the challenges of the NFL.

In his senior year at Oklahoma, White recorded 90 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks, showcasing his ability to be effective in both run defense and pass-rushing situations. He was also used in coverage, proving to be a versatile player who can handle multiple responsibilities on defense. This adaptability is one of the reasons the Raiders likely took an interest in him, as he can fill multiple roles depending on the defensive scheme.

The Raiders have made several moves this offseason to bolster their defense, and the addition of White adds another young, hungry player to the mix. The linebacker position has been an area of concern for the team, especially with injuries and inconsistencies plaguing the unit in recent years. White will be competing for playing time in a crowded linebacker room but could carve out a role on special teams or as a rotational player on defense.

For White, signing with the Raiders is an opportunity to prove himself at the professional level. Going undrafted can often serve as extra motivation for players, and White will be looking to make the most of his chance with Las Vegas. If he can impress during training camp and preseason games, White may find himself as an important piece of the Raiders’ defense moving forward.

This signing reflects the Raiders’ continued commitment to building a strong, fast, and aggressive defense, something that will be key in the highly competitive AFC West division. Fans will be eager to see if White can translate his college success into NFL production and become a valuable contributor to the team.
