Done Deal: Bruins Finally Sign Another 25 Year Old NHL PTO Star Due To.

With 1011 NHL games under his belt at the age of 35, James Van Riemsdyk is undoubtedly nearing the end of his career. Following a 38-point campaign in 71 games while in Boston, JVR has been having trouble securing a new NHL home. Despite his potential for success, organisations have been unwilling to sign him to a long-term contract. That seems to have officially changed now, though. It’s being reported by a number of sources that JVR and the Seattle Kraken have inked a PTO. For Seattle, who will only retain JVR if he excels at training camp, this is a low-risk move.

Van Riemsdyk is mostly known for playing with the Philadelphia Flyers and the Toronto Maple Leafs. He has 311 goals in his career and 318 assists. He is a well-liked guy and we’re sure he would add some depth and some leadership to the Kraken locker room. Only time will tell whether or not that move works out for him.
