Done Deal: Leaf Are Fully Ready As There Officially Announce The Super Signing Of A Top Talented And Well Experienced Star Player.

This month, the Toronto Maple Leafs signed two free agents to PTOs, one of them is 2024 Stanley Cup champion Steven Lorentz, who is thrilled to be joining them. Expectations are quite high for the Toronto Maple Leafs, who are now captained by Auston Matthews, when they begin training camp later this week in preparation for their 107th season of competition in the National Hockey League. General Manager Brad Treliving strengthened the club considerably during the summer to make them more formidable opponents. After a professional tryout with tenacious forward Steven Lorentz—who was born and raised in the Kitchener-Waterloo region approximately one hour to the southwest—one of those new additions was made.

Lorentz was a guest on TSN 1050 radio’s First Up on Monday. During the interview, he expressed his enthusiasm about the chance to go to Toronto and his lifelong dream of becoming a Maple Leaf. He stated that as Toronto looks to win it all in 2025, he hopes to use his expertise and experience from last year’s Stanley Cup victory.

If Lorentz can secure a contract, he’d be a perfect addition to the Maple Leafs’ bottom six. He’s a tough, rugged forward who doesn’t mind getting his hands dirty; also, he would provide Craig Berube a another option for the penalty kill. Steven Lorentz’s plans for training camp and the preseason will have to wait, but it wouldn’t be shocking if he signed a one-year deal before the Maple Leafs’ October 9th game against the Montreal Canadiens.
