Good News: Just In Houston Texans Welcome Another Top Experienced Superstar To Squad

The Houston Texans received encouraging news regarding wide receiver Nico Collins’ recent injury concerns. Collins, who played a key role in the Texans’ Week 2 win over the Chicago Bears, logging 84% of snaps and recording 135 yards, missed a recent practice due to hip and foot injuries. This absence worried fans, especially given his impressive league-leading 252 receiving yards over the first two weeks of the 2024 NFL season.

However, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reported that Collins is expected to be available for the Week 3 game against the Minnesota Vikings. His availability is critical, but if he were to sit out, fellow receivers Stefon Diggs and Tank Dell could see their roles expand.

The Texans are also monitoring running backs Joe Mixon and Dameon Pierce, both of whom missed practice due to ankle and hamstring injuries, respectively. This could lead to Cam Akers taking on a more significant role in the backfield.

Despite these injury concerns, the Texans have been promising this season. Quarterback C.J. Stroud has led the offense with poise, avoiding interceptions, while the defense has held opponents to 254.0 yards per game and performed well against the run. As Week 3 approaches, Houston’s ability to adapt to potential player absences will be crucial in continuing their positive start.
