Done Deal: Raptors Officially Announce The Signing Of Another Top Talented And well Experienced Guard Star Player To Exhibit 10 Contract.

According to Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca, the Raptors have signed Kennedy Chandler, a former second-round pick, to an Exhibit 10 deal. Chandler, a 6’0′′ point guard, was chosen 38th overall in the 2022 draft out of Tennessee and made his debut with the Grizzlies. His debut season was unsuccessful, though, as he averaged 2.2 points and 1.6 assists in 7.8 minutes per game across 36 games, shooting only 46.2% from the free throw line and 42.2% from the field (including 13.3% on three-pointers).

Even though Chandler had two fully guaranteed years left on his contract, Memphis waived him in April 2023. Chandler played 49 games for Brooklyn’s affiliate in both the Showcase Cup and regular season during his 2023–24 G League stint with the Long Island Nets. He shot.477/.361/.758 and averaged 13.9 PPG, 5.1 APG, and 3.3 RPG.

In order to qualify for Exhibit 10 prizes worth up to $77.5K if players play at least 60 games with Toronto’s NBAGL squad, the Raptors have been swiftly signing and waiving free agents in recent days. Chandler’s return rights from Long Island may need to be acquired by the 905, but that may also be the idea. Toronto’s 21-man preseason roster is complete once more, at least for the time being.
