Official Packer News: Just In Green Bay Packers Officially Announced The Signing Of Another Top Expereinced NFL Fans Favorite Superstar To Active Roster

Tight end Messiah Swinson has rejoined the Green Bay Packers, signing with their practice squad on Thursday, according to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic. Swinson, who had spent time with the Packers during training camp, was previously part of their practice squad before being picked up by the Carolina Panthers just prior to the start of the season.

Despite being added to the Panthers’ active roster, Swinson never saw any game action for Carolina. He was inactive for all the games and was ultimately waived by the team on Tuesday. His brief time with the Panthers didn’t provide him the opportunity to prove himself on the field, and he will now return to Green Bay for a second chance to develop and showcase his abilities.

Swinson, who played his college football at Arizona State after transferring from Missouri, has had a challenging journey in the NFL so far. After going undrafted, he signed with the Packers and spent training camp working to earn a spot on the team. While he initially made the Packers’ practice squad, his move to Carolina didn’t result in any playing time, and his release led him back to Green Bay.

With his return to the Packers, Swinson will have the opportunity to continue honing his skills and working towards earning a potential promotion to the active roster. Practice squad players often play a crucial role in helping teams prepare for games, and Swinson will aim to make a strong impression during practice in hopes of eventually getting called up.

The Packers have shown interest in developing Swinson, and this second stint with the team could provide him with the stability needed to advance his career. While his time with the Panthers didn’t pan out, returning to a familiar system with Green Bay might give him the chance to find more success and potentially contribute to the team later in the season.

For now, Swinson will focus on making the most of his practice squad opportunity with the Packers, aiming to prove that he can be a valuable asset for the team moving forward.
