Sad News: Just In Tampa Bay Lightning Officially Announced The Departure Of Another Top Experienced Fans Favorite Supertstar Due To…

The Top Star Was originally drafted by the Montreal Canadiens with the 35th overall pick in 2018, has been cut by the Tampa Bay Lightning. Despite his strong offensive skills, Ylönen never managed to make a significant impact with the Canadiens and left Montreal this summer, signing a one-year deal with the Lightning as a free agent.

Ylönen aimed to secure a spot on Tampa Bay’s roster but fell short and was one of the final cuts, now set to report to the AHL’s Syracuse Crunch.

This comes despite his full season with the Canadiens in the NHL last year. While Ylönen has talent, particularly with his hands and shooting, his inconsistency and lack of physicality on the ice have hindered his ability to secure a permanent NHL role.

Ylönen is considered too good for the AHL but not consistent enough for a full-time NHL position, leaving his future uncertain. If he doesn’t find much playing time with the Lightning, a return to Europe could be a possibility.
