Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams is reportedly on the verge of being traded, with a deal potentially happening soon. Despite being under a five-year, $140 million contract, Adams is seeking a fresh start elsewhere.
Several teams, including the New York Jets and New Orleans Saints, have shown interest in acquiring Adams. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that the trade could take place as soon as today. On “Good Morning Football,” Rapoport said, “It could be today, could be tomorrow,” highlighting how quickly the situation is developing. Both the Jets and Saints are in need of help at wide receiver, making Adams a prime target for a mid-season move.
The Jets, who have struggled offensively, have been linked to Adams due to his strong connection with quarterback Aaron Rodgers, his former teammate from the Green Bay Packers.
