Good News: Just In Another Top Experienced MLB Superstar Officially Join Dodgers Ahead Of Game NLDS Game 3 against the San Diego Padres

The Los Angeles Dodgers are optimistic about having All-Star Freddie Freeman back in the lineup for Game 3 of the NL Division Series against the San Diego Padres on Tuesday. Freeman exited Game 2 after five innings during the Dodgers’ 10-2 loss at Dodger Stadium, which tied the series at 1-1.

Freeman, dealing with discomfort from a sprained right ankle, was replaced at first base by Max Muncy, while Kiké Hernández filled in at third base. In Game 2, Freeman struck out and flew out during his two at-bats. In Game 1, he recorded two hits and a strikeout.

Manager Dave Roberts mentioned that Freeman was “still sore” on Monday during the team’s off-day workout at Petco Park, adding that he was receiving treatment and appreciated the mental break. Roberts said, “The thought is he’s going to play tomorrow. If he can’t, then he won’t. But if he’s able, he’ll be in there.”

Freeman, a 35-year-old eight-time All-Star, noted that this was his first ankle sprain, and he had been told that such injuries typically require four to six weeks of recovery.

Freeman, who bats third behind Shohei Ohtani and Mookie Betts, is known for his strong offensive contributions and solid defense at first base. During the regular season, he missed 15 games due to injuries and a medical issue with his son.
