Official NCAA News: Just In Notre Dame Fighting Irish Win Another Commitment Of Top Talented 4-Star Superstar

Notre Dame’s basketball program, led by head coach Micah Shrewsberry, is on a remarkable recruiting streak. Over the past 10 days, the team has secured four major commitments, the latest being 4-star center Tommy Ahneman from North Dakota. Ahneman’s decision came on Monday, shortly after analysts predicted his commitment was imminent.

This adds to an impressive class that already includes 5-star small forward Jalen Haralson and two 4-star recruits: small forward Ryder Frost and power forward Brady Koehler, all highly ranked by On3.

Ahneman had been drawing significant interest from Big Ten schools like Minnesota and Iowa, with visits planned for October, but those seem unlikely now. However, Shrewsberry knows that recruiting is unpredictable, and a commitment is never fully guaranteed. For now, though, the Irish coach can savor this successful recruiting run, which most coaches would be thrilled to achieve over a much longer period.
