Latest NCAA News: More Good News As Auburn Adds Another Four-Star Wide Receiver Commit to 2025 Recruiting Class

**Auburn Lands Four-Star Wide Receiver for 2025 Recruiting Class**

Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze continues to bolster the Tigers’ 2025 recruiting class with another significant addition. Wide receiver Sam Turner, previously committed to Georgia Tech, has flipped his commitment to Auburn.

This commitment comes shortly after the Tigers secured elite quarterback Deuce Knight, providing him with a new receiving target. Turner, a 6-foot-1, 195-pound athlete from Southwest DeKalb High School in Decatur, Georgia, is ranked as the No. 235 player in the nation and the 39th-best wide receiver, according to Rivals. Meanwhile, 247Sports ranks him as the No. 479 player nationally, the No. 76 wide receiver, and the No. 56 prospect in Georgia.

Turner had received offers from schools such as BYU, Georgia, Maryland, and Mississippi State before choosing Auburn. He becomes the 27th player to join Auburn’s 2025 class, and he’s the sixth-highest ranked offensive player in the group.

Turner’s recruitment was led by Auburn wide receivers coach Marcus Davis, who established a strong connection with the player. Turner appreciated Auburn’s values and culture, as well as the development of successful wide receivers under Coach Freeze, such as Van Jefferson, DK Metcalf, Laquon Treadwell, and Elijah Moore.

Auburn’s 2025 recruiting class, Freeze’s second, is currently ranked No. 3 nationally and second in the SEC, behind only Ohio State and Alabama, according to 247Sports.
