BREAKING: Just In Brian Gutekunst Officially reveals extra step made before signing Another Top Super Talented Star.

In Week 6, the Arizona Cardinals were thoroughly defeated by the Green Bay Packers. The team’s record now stands at 4-2 after the victory. With four touchdown passes in back-to-back games, second-year starter Jordan Love is lighting up the football pitch. The squad also got encouraging news on the receivers’ injuries. With one notable exception, everything was looking bright for the Packers. For the entire season, Green Bay’s kicking game has been subpar.

The Packers made an official adjustment on Wednesday when they signed Brandon McManus in place of rookie kicker Brayden Narveson. The 12-year veteran was let go after it was revealed that he had committed sexual assault while playing for the Jacksonville Jaguars, despite having signed a one-year contract with the Washington Commanders during the preseason.

Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst emphasised that the team had taken great care to thoroughly evaluate the veteran kicker from the Broncos before making a contract offer. According to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky, Gutekunst stated that the team looked into the accusations against McManus both independently and in light of the league’s probe. Gutekunst desired to speak with McManus directly regarding the charges.

We had a really good conversation with Brandon… When these things got cleared up with the league… and he got past some other things those conversations kinda picked up. Wanted to make sure we did our due diligence. Again, we feel really good about that… We’re excited to get him out there,” Gutekunst said via Demovsky. “Obviously he’s a very experienced kicker.”

In 2023, McManus was charged with abusing two women on a Jaguars team trip to London. The women claimed the kicker pressed up against them and made an attempt to kiss one of them while they were working as flight attendants. In the end, McManus escaped punishment from the league because there was not enough proof to back up the charges. He was able to carry on with his NFL career as a result. Week 7 of 2024 will probably mark his debut after joining the Green Bay Packers.

In Week 7, Green Bay will host the 5-1 Houston Texans. Fans are hoping that kicking has little bearing on the outcome of the game because Jordan Love and CJ Stroud are two of the league’s hottest rookie quarterbacks.
