Knowles, who went undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft, impressed scouts during his college career at Kansas State with his combination of size, speed, and versatility. Known for his ability to make big plays, both as a receiver and a return specialist, he earned All-American honors as a kick returner during his time with the Wildcats. His ability to contribute on special teams adds further value to his signing.
At Kansas State, Knowles accumulated 1,867 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns, showcasing his ability to stretch the field and make plays in clutch situations. His versatility in lining up at multiple positions in the offense, including in the slot and on the outside, made him a vital part of the Wildcats’ offense. His contributions as a kick returner also proved pivotal, as he recorded over 2,500 all-purpose yards in his college career.
The Packers are currently dealing with several injuries at the wide receiver position, which likely accelerated the decision to bring in Knowles. Starters Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs have both been nursing injuries, leaving quarterback Jordan Love in need of more weapons in the passing game.
