Additionally, EOCF is committed to matching any new investments up to $100,000, aiming to empower 100,000 children to participate in hockey.

Myrna Khan, EOCF’s executive director, stated, “We are proud to bring the transformative Every Kid Deserves a Shot initiative to the children and community of Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo.” She emphasized that hockey can positively impact children’s lives and strengthen communities.

Jacinda Davis, vice-president of communications for Fort McMurray Minor Hockey, noted that EOCF’s support will greatly enhance their mission to remove barriers and promote inclusivity in youth sports. “Their generous support not only improves our programs but also aids in the development of young people in our community,” Davis added.
