Golden State Warriors guard Moses Moody has agreed to a three-year, $39 million contract extension. The Warriors are set to begin their season on Wednesday in Portland.
Head coach Steve Kerr praised Moody, saying, “He represents everything we want in our organization—character, work ethic, and resilience. He’s earned this, and I couldn’t be happier for him. This is a significant milestone in his career.”
Moody, a 6-foot-5 guard, was selected 14th overall in the 2021 draft after playing at Arkansas. Over three seasons with the Warriors, he has averaged 5.9 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 14.3 minutes per game, with 23 starts. In those games, he averaged 11.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 26.4 minutes.
During the previous season, Moody posted career-best averages of 8.1 points and 3.0 rebounds, with 25 double-digit scoring games and three games where he scored over 20 points.
