SAD NEWS: Just In Detroit Lions Hit With A Major Blow As Top Talented Star Suffers Career Ending Injury.

The Detroit Lions beat the Minnesota Vikings this past Sunday in a Game Of The Year contender that had a little bit of everything. Jake Bates’ 44-yard field goal became the eventual game winner in what became a shootout between the two most successful teams in the NFC North Division so far this season.

The Lions’ 31-29 victory overshadowed a defence that at times seemed a little lost following standout pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson’s fractured leg injury sustained against the Dallas Cowboys the week before. The defensive unit led by defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn dominated 20 out of 35 Sam Darnold dropbacks, which was the most they have done in a game since Glenn joined the Lions in 2021. The Lions’ general manager, Brad Holmes, is trying to resolve Detroit’s pass-rushing dilemma, according to a recent report from head coach Dan Campbell to the team’s supporters.

First of all, who do you like on tape? Who is worth something? And it’s not just because somebody says they’re a good player,” Campbell said. “You’ve got to put your own eyes on it and do the homework. “But believe me, we’re looking,” Campbell added. “Brad’s on it, and we’ll find somebody that fits us and brings something. Like I said, a complementary piece that helps that d-line.”

Since last week, Brad has been working diligently on this,” Campbell remarked. “He has been going over and examining everything that might be out there. Making calls accounts for a large portion of it,” he continued. Maxx Crosby, a former Eastern Michigan star, and other inexpensive trade targets have been connected to Detroit by the rumour mill. Before making a possible transfer, the team is considering a number of things, according to Campbell, and Holmes won’t “force it.”
