LSU commit and top-100 wide receiver made a surprise visit to Michigan for their game against Oregon, raising speculation about his recruitment. Meadows, a 6-foot-5, 200-pound receiver from Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas, initially committed to LSU, where he planned to play alongside five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood. He had previously taken an official visit to Michigan over the summer before deciding on LSU.
However, as the early signing period approaches, it seems Meadows may be reconsidering his options. According to 247Sports’ Tom Loy, Meadows joined a large group of recruits visiting Michigan for their showdown with Oregon. Despite his commitment to LSU in July, this visit could indicate growing interest in the Wolverines.
Michigan’s coaching staff is working hard to strengthen their 2025 recruiting class. Recently, they secured commitments from four-star cornerback Shamari Earls and three-star defensive lineman Benny Patterson, both of whom flipped from other programs. Now, they hope to add more top talent, with Meadows being a key target.
Meadows’ visit has sparked speculation about Michigan’s pursuit of Underwood, as the two players’ decisions may influence one another. While they aren’t necessarily a package deal, it’s rare for a top wide receiver to visit a school without a highly regarded quarterback in place. This timing aligns with Michigan’s intensified efforts to flip Underwood, a move that could also sway Meadows.
If Michigan succeeds in flipping Underwood, they could be well-positioned to bring Meadows into their 2025 class as well. For now, fans and analysts will keep a close watch on these developments, as Michigan’s recruiting efforts continue to heat up in the final weeks before signing day.
