Breaking: Just In Raiders Officially Claimed Another Top Super Talented Star Off Waivers.

The New England Patriots announced that DE Yannick Ngakoue (pronounced – yah-NEEK in-GAH-kway) has been claimed off waivers from the Baltimore Ravens. In addition, the Patriots have released LB Raekwon McMillan from the 53-man roster.

On Nov. 7, 2024, Baltimore released 29-year-old Ngakoue. With Jacksonville (2016–19), Minnesota (2020), Baltimore (2020 and 2024), Las Vegas (2021), Indianapolis (2022), and Chicago (2023), the 6-foot-3, 250-pound veteran has played in eight NFL seasons. He was selected by Jacksonville in the third round (69th overall) out of Maryland to start his NFL career. With 115 starts and 229 total tackles, 70½ sacks, two interceptions, including one that was returned for a touchdown, 13 passes defenced, and two forced fumbles, Ngakoue has participated in 128 NFL games. On October 5, 2024, Baltimore signed him to the practice squad and promoted him to the active roster for two games. On October 15, he was added to the 53-man roster and participated in three additional games more games before been released.

On March 19, 2021, the 28-year-old McMillan inked a contract with New England as an unrestricted free agency from Las Vegas. In the 2017 NFL Draft, Miami selected the 6-foot-2, 250-pound player out of Ohio State in the second round (54th overall). In 2020, he was traded to Las Vegas. McMillan has 275 total tackles, 1 sack, 4 passes defenced, 3 forced fumbles, and 2 fumble recoveries in his 70 NFL games played, 37 of which he has started. McMillan has 43 total tackles and has appeared in 9 games for the Patriots in 2024, including 4 starts.
