When the Buffalo Bills play the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, they hope to maintain their commanding lead in the AFC East. Due to a wrist injury sustained against the Miami Dolphins, the Bills have ruled out standout rookie receiver Keon Coleman before of the game. Amari Cooper, a Pro Bowl wide receiver, is also doubtful for Sunday due to a wrist issue.
Fortunately for Buffalo, the Colts are also facing weapon injuries. Due to a back injury, Indianapolis ruled out receiver Michael Pittman Jr. on Friday. After a two-game losing streak, the Joe Flacco-led Colts will be without one of their leading receivers for a crucial game without Pittman.
Pittman had a poor season before being hurt, hauling in 30 passes for 366 yards and two scores. He only had two catches for 30 yards in the previous two games. With Flacco, he did had his finest game of the year in Week 4, finishing with six receptions for 113 yards. Pittman has five catches for 90 yards in two games versus the Bills in his career. It does level the playing field versus Buffalo without Coleman since, despite his lacklustre season, Pittman is still perhaps the team’s most skilled receiver.
Regardless, Josh Allen and the Bills’ offense will need to find a way to spread the ball around if they’ll be without both Coleman and Cooper on Sunday.
