Breaking: Just In Steelers Hit With Another Blow As Fans Favorite WR star suffers season ending quad injury.

Van Jefferson, a wide receiver with the Pittsburgh Steelers, did not practise on Wednesday due to a quadriceps ailment. The fact that head coach Mike Tomlin did not list Jefferson as hurt on Tuesday may indicate that the ailment is not serious. While Mike Williams was incorporated into the game plan, Jefferson spent the majority of the team’s snaps as an outside wide receiver. Williams only appeared in nine total snaps. The club curtailed Calvin Austin III’s last snaps due to his injury, which did not help the cause.

With Jefferson out, the Steelers have their three wide receivers George Pickens, Austin, and Williams, though Jefferson will likely return at some point this week into that rotation.

However, it does open the door for Williams to get even more work than he would have otherwise, which is a positive for the Steelers as they try to get him up to speed quickly with his new playbook.
