Official Raiders News: Raiders Release Two Top Experienced Superstar After Ahead Of Broncos Game

Las Vegas Raiders Release Tight End and Linebacker After Loss to Dolphins

The Las Vegas Raiders continued their disappointing 2024 season, dropping to a 2-8 record following Sunday’s loss to the Miami Dolphins. Struggles on both offense and defense have plagued the team, leaving fans with little optimism for the remainder of the season. On Tuesday, the Raiders made roster changes, releasing tight end Trevon Wesco and linebacker Blake Lynch from the practice squad.

Trevon Wesco, who entered the NFL in 2019, has played for several teams, including the New York Jets, Chicago Bears, and Tennessee Titans. Despite his time in the league, his career production has been minimal, with only 134 receiving yards and nine catches to his name. Blake Lynch, in the league since 2020, has played for the Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Chargers. His career stats include 51 tackles, two sacks, and one forced fumble.

The Raiders’ lackluster performance this season has left fans frustrated and calling for significant changes. Many hoped the team would make a bold move, such as acquiring a new quarterback or adding impactful offensive weapons. However, the team’s recent decisions suggest they may be prioritizing a rebuild and positioning themselves for a high draft pick in 2025.

As the losses mount, Raiders fans are increasingly resigned to a lost 2024 season. The focus now seems to be shifting toward the future, with hopes that the team’s eventual roster moves and draft selections can lay the groundwork for a successful rebuild.
